some sort of reputation maybe?
i am not sure it has being mentioned before, if it has, would mod plz close this
i am sure all of you have encountered this before: those who during a mission after their objectives has being acheived, or just stay there hoping other pplz would do all the hard work to run then to the next city... i propose a reputation system, much like a fame system, but voted by team members after a mission + outpost quest (+1, 0 or -1)... and we are able to call the reputation just like health or energy or experience...
i was just in hell preciple yesterday with a grp of pug's ... we started with 6 human players and 2 hench monks due to the lack of monks... i was like "no biggie, we can still beat the misison + bonus for this... so we started on... after we defeated 2nd boss, a player (ele me thinks) capped skill, then left without saying any thing... naturally we are disappointed... leader (warrior mind you) says omg that's such non ethic behavior... and we can still make it in the game whatever... so we pressed on... 2nd to leave was an necro..... guess at least he's nicer... he stayed til we defeated the mob and charged me with blood ritual... ok fair enough 6 players, we are still ognna make it.... after undead rurik, the leader warr suddenly said "i am going, i don't need this mission... LOL what irony...
so me a mo, 2 henchies + 2 rangers pressed on... and we all died at the very end....
naturally i was stumped in disbelieve... so i sat there for 30 secs contemplating the evil intentions in this world... and i was pug'ed by an other group, lead by a monk/necro... so i was like ok i am going to try this one more time... lol funnily, same thing happened... the leader mo/necro ran all the way back to starting place after we got bonus just to kill a necro skill then exited...
have some ethics, if you need our help capping skill, at least help us do the mission....

The solution to that is have only positive reputation. If someone does something nice, give them a +1. If someone does something nasty, tough luck. Eventually you'll see who the nice ones are. Maybe they could get a title for it.
However this can still be abused, naturally guilds will all +1 each other, same for alliances... rich people will start paying for it. Sad sad world, but it will just never work.

Always the W/x's fault...
I have never had a warrior quit, so stop whining about them.

That has NOTHING to do with the main idea of the thread at all.
I think this should be implemented. I also think if a player is given a bad reputation point or whatever, they shouldnt be able to vote against someone.
EDIT: Carth` brought up a good point... after reading that, I dont think theres anyway to make this fool proof, or non-abusable.

make it automatic, if a person maps out of a mission they get -1, if mission is completed they get +1, if the group as a whole resignes mission are mission ends with everyone dead they get 0

Almost ideal, as long as the system knows the difference between mapping out and Error 7. But it can still be abused because if a person knows quitting will affect his feedback, he could just go afk. The mission could be completed without his help, and he still gets +1 credit. It cannot, CANNOT, be feedback by other players, because as soon as someone gets pissed at you (legitimately or otherwise) they'll click the button and drop you a point.
Coding a system to automatically cover all possible situations would be very difficult and probably a waste of programming resources. In the end it really boils down to trust and communication when forming a PUG. Helps to have a good friend and guild network too. And henchies never leave, even if they do suck.

Henchmen are better than the majority of guild wars players. And yes they never leave.
And a rep system decided by other players would be bad. I dont want the fate of the rest of my game to be in the hands of other players that get mad at me for telling them mending sucks, or just immature people that do it just to be hateful. And on the other side its easily abusable by having you friends +1 you all the time.

caps elite, aggroes mob, get party killed -> scott free.
At least most mission can be completed with on quitter (without actually). Forcing him to get the party wiped just to save his reputation won't help.
